We are sorry to hear about the loss of Cheryl Ward who passed away this Monday. We would like to extend our deepest sympathies to the family through this difficult time. Our thoughts and prayers are with the family.
You might recall she was Argo's only female individual state champ: 1981 IHSA State Mile Champ. Cheryl was also All State in Cross Country placing 6th at State and an All American at the University of Illinois in the 4 X 800 Relay. She is still the 8th fastest 1600 runner in Illinois State Meet history. Cheryl received both a B.A. and M.A. from University of Illinois.
The funeral will be held at Antioch Baptist Church (708/458-5199) 7511 W 64th St. in Summit at 11a.m. this Saturday, December 29th, 2012.
