Rachel's Challenge Spirit Week

Each day 160,000 students do not go to school because they are bullied, teased and harassed. Rachel's Challenge is helping create safer learning environments and making a world-wide impact by sharing the inspiring story of Rachel Scott whose example of kindness and acceptance was brought to light when she became the first victim in the Columbine High School tragedy. Conveyed through stories from Rachel’s life and writings, Rachel’s Challenge shows the profound positive impact we can have on those around us. Rachel’s Challenge demonstrates to the listener the power of deliberately reaching out in word and action to others to start what Rachel called “a chain reaction of kindness and compassion.”

The Rachel’s Challenge initiative will begin with a Spirit Week March 5th-8th.

Tuesday, March 5th is Dream Big: Wear your pajamas,

Wednesday, March 6th is Show Your Best Side: Dress up,

Thursday, March 7th is Take Time To Choose Positive Influences: Twin Day-Choose a friend you admire and dress alike,

Friday, March 8th is Don’t Be Afraid To Stand Out-Wear bright, fluorescent colors.

Posters will be posted around the school for the spirit days and those that participate will receive candy in their study hall.
